I made my yearly visit to the fabric section at JoAnn’s yesterday, which must mean one thing – it’s time to start thinking about Halloween! (Yes, the only time I sew is my kids’ Halloween costumes, haha.) I know it might be a bit early for some of you, but I’ve seen houses who are already putting out skeletons and witch hats and all the Halloween inflatables…October will be here before we know it!
FREE TRICK OR TREAT SVG
I’ll admit, I don’t typically get into much in the way of Halloween decorating or theming, but I do love a good seasonal graphic tee. I actually designed this retro typography Trick or Treat SVG with a t-shirt in mind, but I think it works so well for a tote bag! Cut this out of HTV and iron it onto a basic canvas tote bag from the craft store for a trick-or-treat bag, reusable grocery tote, or just for fun! This is a great scrap-buster project, as you don’t have to do the whole design in one color. Go for the classic orange and black, try an ombre look with different shades of the same color, or switch it up with anything you have on hand! And I still think it would look great on a t-shirt, too.

Although Halloween decorations are usually not my favorite, I particularly enjoy using seasonal patterns
