  1. Hello, I love these pictures. Can I ask how you got the banner to be blurred? Was it set back further than the blanket?

    • Thanks Kathleen! Yes, the garland was in the trees behind us, but it’s blurred because the photographer used a wide aperture to give her a shallow depth of field – that causes the subject to be in focus but the background to have that lovely blurring :-)

  2. What a heartwarming and creative photo shoot! The attention to detail with the red plaid blanket, milk and cookies, and festive decorations really set the scene perfectly. The daddy-daughter and baby bump shots are just adorable. It’s wonderful how you’ve shared the process and inspiration behind the photos. Amber Roy Photography sounds amazing – I can see why you’d recommend her!

  3. What a lovely photo shoot! The simple setup with a red plaid blanket, milk crate, and cookies looks so charming. The DIY paper circle garland is a great touch. And those belly shots are precious. Can’t wait to see more!

stay-at-home mom to three beautiful children, wife to an incredible husband, and daughter of a loving God. I freely admit that I am not always the most creative or original person when it comes to crafting, decorating, organizing, cooking, etc...but I love being inspired by great ideas and putting my own spin on them! Look around, stay a while, and I hope through my *unoriginality* I can provide some inspiration to you, too!
