Sometimes I get so wrapped up in creating things for other people (mostly my kids) that I don’t create much for myself. (Anybody else feel that way?) After I finished sewing a Christmas dress for my daughter and started debating whether or not to make her or her brother a Christmas shirt with my just-arrived-order of glitter heat transfer vinyl from Expressions Vinyl, I had a bit of a “eureka” moment and realized that I don’t own any cute Christmas apparel! Of course, that had to be remedied. It took almost no time for me to whip up this glittery and fun “fa la la” Christmas shirt with my Silhouette!
My inspiration for the design came from this great painted wood sign that I had recently come across on Pinterest. I decided to put my own spin on it by adding music notes to make it even more “me” – I am a choir-director-turned-stay-at-home-mom-and-blogger, in case you didn’t know ;-)
I’m not kidding when I say this went from design to completion in a total of less than 30 minutes. Love me some HTV! And I am totally crushing on this gold glitter heat transfer vinyl. The photos don’t do it justice. So much sparkle!
I’m all set for Christmas caroling, don’t you think?
