    • Thanks Michelle! I am so happy to have that piano, it is not only a lovely instrument, it’s such a beautiful piece of furniture!

    • Thanks, Heather! I love that piano, and the best part is it sounds as good as it looks :-) And it was such a dark corner before, the lamp is in the perfect spot to give me lots of light when I play, even at night!

  1. Looks fantastic! I would love it if you joined and contribute your awesome posts at my link party at City of Creative Dreams on Fridays :D Hope to see you there at City of Creative Dreams Link Party

    • Thanks Audra! It is neat to have a one-of-a-kind lamp like this, and it was so easy, it makes me want to make more… ;-)

    • Thanks Betsy! It actually is pretty sturdy…I wouldn’t put it in a room where there would be kiddos bumping into it a lot, but it works great for next to the piano. I was worried it would be a bit top heavy, but since the legs of the music stand are so wide, it’s a good solid base for the weight of the lamp!

  2. I love the lamp post! Using an old sheet stand is such a great idea. I think it looks great plain, but there are so many cool things you could do that are music related if you wanted to add a bit of flair to it. :D

  3. Hi there! I just made this lamp and I have a question. What type of shade did you use and how did you connect it? Could you show a picture of that? I am not sure how to attach one.

    Thanks!

    • Hi Ginger! I used a regular lamp shade from target – it fit right over the light bulb base. Depending on what kind of bulb base you have, and what kind of shade you have, you might need to get a harp lamp shade adapter (just google a photo to see what I mean). Hope that helps!
